Xpress Schedule Finally Set for This Weekend
| The schedule is set for a weekend of baseball. Thanks to the coach of Moe's Bar, the Xpress will play Moe's Bar at 1:00pm on Saturday at Bethel College, just North of the Twin Cities. Sunday, the Xpress will take on the Nashwauk Colts at 3:00pm in Pengilly. Come out and support the Xpress!
Xpress hit Schedule Trouble
| The Duluth Xpress have now witnessed their baseball filled weekend of July 16 through July 19th dwindle from 5 games to possibly just 2; and even those 2 have changed locations. The culprit? Field scheduling. Thursday's game vs. Bayside has been moved due to construction at the UWS field and a legion game occupying Ordean field in Duluth. The game against the Metro Knights has been cancelled due to the White Bear Lake field director never getting back to the Knights' coach in regards to letting the Knights and Xpress use lights for an 8PM start. Saturday's game is up in the air as the Xpress wait anxiously to hear back from the coach of Moe's Bar as to whether or not Moe's Bar has to make up a league game that was rained out, which would leave the Xpress with 2 games vs. the Nashwauk Colts on Sunday, July 19th. Yet, scheduling conflicts did not escape that date either, as the Nashwauk field was double booked and the game has been moved to Penn Guilley. The Xpress regret the loss of up to 3 games and would like to thank the loyal fans that had made plans to attend. Please check back for further updates as more information becomes available.

Errors foil Xpress Twice vs. Bemidji
| Duluth committed 8 errors in 2 games against the Bemidji Mudcats, dropping 2 games by the scores of 0-4 and 2-5 Sunday at Ordean field in East Duluth. Jeff Adams threw all seven innings of game 1 for the Xpress, scattering seven hits and walking only one hitter. 2 first inning errors and gave the Mudcats a 2-0 lead after which they never looked back, winning 4-0. Game 2 saw more of the same as Josh Retka's 4-hitter was interrupted by 3 Xpress errors in the 6th inning, relinquishing the 2-1 Xpress lead and giving the mudcats a 5-2 advantage. Grant Kohlhase had a double and an RBI for the Xpress, while Dan Bauer went 2-4 with an RBI for the Mudcats. The Xpress will play Tuesday June 30th at 6pm at Ordean against the Superior Lakers in a non-conference border battle.
Duluth (2-1) plays a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ordean against the Bemidji Mudcats.
Xpress Blank Proctor
| Pitchers Eric Hagen and Jordan Sandstrom combined on a seven-inning complete game, allowing just six hits to lead the Duluth Express to a 12-0 victory over the Proctor Padres on Thursday at Ordean Field.
